1. About these terms
SS Maison is provided by Aksona Danatarova, a sole trader trading as SS Maison, London, United Kingdom ("we", "us"). Postal address: SS Studio, Lytchett House, 13 Freeland Park, Wareham Road, Poole, Dorset, BH16 6FA, United Kingdom. Email: hello@ssmaison.co.uk. These terms apply when you buy or use SS Maison. Single room and 5 rooms are for anyone; Pro is for businesses such as estate and letting agents and landlords.
2. The service
You upload a photo of a room or garden and choose a style. We create redesigned images of the same space with artificial intelligence: walls, windows, doors, floors and proportions are meant to stay as they are, and furniture, textiles, lighting, plants, paving and paint colour change. Each design comes with a "Shop this room" list of example pieces from UK retailers. AI images can contain mistakes, including changes to the architecture; we check every image automatically and redo one that drifted, but you should always look closely yourself.
3. Rooms and images
- A "room" is one uploaded photo of a room or garden. Each room includes up to 20 images in total: designs in the styles you choose, redos, and any automatic redo after the structure check.
- Single room is one payment for one room. 5 rooms is one payment for five rooms; unused rooms stay available while your account is open.
- Pro, Agency and Agency Plus are subscriptions for estate agents, landlords and letting companies. They renew every month until you cancel and include a monthly number of images (60, 200 and 400) rather than rooms; a staged room usually takes about four images. Unused images don't carry over to the next month. Single room and 5 rooms packs can be used alongside a subscription and never expire.
- Rooms you don't choose to keep are deleted 30 days after upload (see our privacy notice). Download the images you want before then.
- If a room produces no designs at all, we return the room to your account automatically.
4. Prices and payment
- Prices are shown in pounds sterling and are the full price. No VAT is added.
- Payments are processed by Stripe. Pro customers can see invoices, change their card or cancel from their account.
5. Your right to cancel (consumers)
If you buy as a consumer, you normally have 14 days to cancel a purchase of digital content. Because your designs are created straight away, when you start a room you ask us to supply it immediately and you lose the right to cancel for that room. Rooms you haven't started can be refunded within 14 days of purchase: just email us. This doesn't affect your other legal rights, for example if the service isn't as described.
6. Pro: cancelling and refunds
You can cancel Pro at any time. It stays active until the end of the month you've paid for, then stops. We don't refund partial months or used rooms. If something goes wrong on our side, contact us and we'll put it right.
7. Virtual staging
Pro images and every image of an empty room are labelled "Virtually staged", and downloaded copies carry the label in the picture. If you use them to market a property, you must not remove the label, and you must make clear to buyers and tenants that the furniture and decoration are not real and are not included, so that your listing doesn't mislead. You must not use the service to hide defects or to change what a property actually looks like.
8. The shopping list
Items in "Shop this room" are real pieces from UK retailers and makers that suit a design; they are not offers from us. We don't sell any products, and any purchase is between you and the retailer on the retailer's terms. Prices are shown as they were on the date stated in the list and can change; availability can change too. Check sizes against your own room before you buy. Some links are affiliate links: if you buy through one, we may earn a small commission from the retailer at no extra cost to you. This doesn't affect which pieces we choose: we pick what suits the design and is made of natural materials.
9. Your responsibilities
- Only upload photos of places you have the right to photograph, and avoid photos where people can be recognised.
- Don't use the service to mislead anyone or for anything unlawful.
10. Your content
You keep all rights in the photos you upload and you may use the images created from them for any lawful purpose, subject to section 7. You give us permission to store and process your photos only to provide the service. We won't use your photos or designs to promote SS Maison without your written permission.
11. Availability and changes
We aim to keep SS Maison available but can't promise it will never be interrupted. We may improve or change features. If we make a change that significantly affects Pro, we'll tell you at least 30 days before, and you can cancel.
12. Liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that can't be limited by law, and nothing affects your statutory rights as a consumer. Otherwise, we are not liable for loss that wasn't foreseeable, for business losses of consumers, or — for business customers — for indirect or consequential loss or loss of profit, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
13. Ending your account
You can close your account by emailing us. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms.
14. Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you are a consumer living in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you may also bring proceedings in your local courts.
